The Bayside Diner

The iconic Bayside Diner opened in 1988 and became the central hangout in Summer Bay for teens and adults alike.

Aussie soap fans of a certain age will recognise this hangout, which was originally run by Bobby Simpson and Ailsa Stewart. The diner became a popular attraction for locals and tourists until 2000 when it burnt down due to a chip pan fire (The Pier diner just isn't the same! *sob*). Though it went through a refurb or two in later years, it's featured here in all its original 80s glory.

The empty unit next door was briefly used as a Youth Centre in early-mid 1989, though I decided to keep it empty, so you can dress it up and use it however you like.
